The Lab

I recently accepted the fact that I am not a landscape photographer. Looking through my posts, this is pretty obvious. Even though I very rarely take landscapes, somewhere deep in my brain I was hanging onto the notion that I was. I still like to take landscapes, but landscape photography requires a level of commitment that I just can't get to. See...there is a certain time of day that provides the best light for landscapes, it is called the golden hour and it happens at dawn...in case you don't know...dawn happens like really really early in the morning. To be truthful, there is a golden hour at night that happens before sunset, but most of the really compelling landscapes are coming from that first hour of the day.

Bottom line...I have accepted my place as a photographer of the mundane!
