There is an old oak tree in downtown Orlando...really old. The sign beside the tree says it was a sapling in 1688. So, 300 some years the tree is still stand, but the old boy is cheating a just bit. See several of the branches droop down and are resting on the ground or in some cases even going into the ground. It is really something to see. Several of these ground dwelling branches have these little fern like plants growing on them. If you are in the Orlando area and want to check it out, go over to the parking garage for the Science Center and veer to the left when you pull in.
